I have been on two trips organized by Danu Enterprises (Bali and Vietnam) and have been pleasantly surprised by both. July and Surya provide an interesting cultural adventure which can be tailored to the needs of the group. The itinerary for both trips I have taken were filled with many options to see and experience both the tourist "must sees" and to experience local culture in a non touristy way. In fact, my favorite experiences with both tours were the insights we gained through their local connections and the excursions that were part of the local landscape rather than the ones most of the others booked to see. Judy and Surya are both knowledgeable in unique areas and bring a good balance to the touring experience. If you are looking for history, adventure, culture, and culinary delights, Danu is a good choice. - Alison Summers, NSW Australia. Feb. 2016
“I can highly recommend every excursion I’ve done with Danu Tours, including Greece, Italy, Spain, Bali and Southeast Asia. These experiences have been absolutely astounding. Judy & Surya know a lot about the art & culture and the beauty of the countries they visit. And the local guides they use to enhance their knowledge are the best. They stay in the “off-the-beaten-path” locations allowing better visual, cultural and spontaneous experiences that the regular traveler just does not see. The groups are small and personal and I like that we stay in small boutique hotels for the most part. These places fit the itinerary and make the trips walkable and convenient. I love to have the details of my journey worked out ahead of time and yet the schedule is flexible. I find there is plenty of down time and choices of things to do as we travel.
I have come back from a few of these trips so excited that I have returned with a group of my friends to do it again. It’s rewarding to share the experience and see the enjoyment of those who came along. (Note: Patricia and 11 of her friends went on our Jan. 2019 Laos/Vietnam trip.) The best part is going to areas that the regular tourist doesn’t usually. The beauty of the country, the warmth of the people, and the great food drew me back. Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s, this is a place I heard of. I have always been curious to explore the history of Southeast Asia. Although traveling to these Southeast Asian countries is becoming more and more popular, I’d still recommend it to anyone who has never been there before.” - Patricia Anderson, Aptos CA August 2019
